Dear Guglielmo

Plüschow 2019

The series Dear Guglielmo consists of drawings/collages, I have been working on during a 3-month artist-residency at Mecklenburgisches Künstlerhaus Schloss Plüschow in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The series references to Guglielmo Plüschow, a photographer from Mecklenburg who lived between 1852 and 1930.

I used fragments of photocopies from Plüschows photographs and mixed them with image titles from an ancient icelandic picture book. The work combines traces of distinct stories from different times.
